Bosch Security Systems recently introduced a new discussion system.
This new CCS 900 Ultro was designed in particular for small and mediumsized conference areas, but also for city halls, local business centers and courtrooms. It features a number of functions facilitating the organization of meetings and assemblies. This also includes the new patent-pending "Possible-To-Speak" function which indicates when it’s ready to be used by a delegate.
Speech intelligibility is based on Bosch’s DAFS-Technology (Digital Acoustic Feedback Suppressor), which for many years has been proving its worth in the supplier’s conference and audio systems. With this new comprehensive system, users can follow the event and can easily engage in the on-going discussion. The control unit features a 2-GB-SD-card to record and play back up to 64 hours of discussions. It also has a 60-second buffer to exchange the SD-card (secure digital) without interrupting the session recording.
Conference delegates and chairpersons have integrated speakers, a microphone to be activated with a single touch as well as two headphone ports with volume regulation. In addition, the chairperson’s control unit has a priority key. It may be used to temporarily or permanently deactivate all active delegate microphones and also emits an acoustical signal.
With its four easy-to-use operation modes, the CCS 900 Ultro has the required flexibility for users to focus on discussions. Up to four microphones can be activated simultaneously in discussions; the chairperson always has speaker priority. Microphones not in use are automatically deactivated in case delegates forget to turn off their particular units. Additional microphones of all kinds (cable, wireless, handhelds, panel microphones) may be linked to the system, for example to allow external participants to participate in public meetings.
Bosch points out that its comprehensive solution is immediately ready for use and can therefore also be installed and applied by non-professional users; the CCS 900 Ultro’s intuitive operation elements can be used without having attending instruction courses. The system may be expanded to a total of 150 units. A variety of other appliances and additional technical components may be integrated, including interpretation equipment, audio systems or an interface for teleconferences and videoconferences.
