IMEX America is readying itself for its debut from October 11 to 13, 2011 at the Sands Expo venue in Las Vegas. Organiser IMEX Group already sees its original forecasts on exhibitor and visitor interest exceeded.
Chairman Ray Bloom comments: “We are delighted with the industry response. Demand is amazing, and we can already promise to deliver a really international show for the US market, in which all sectors of our industry will be involved.” Roughly 1,500 exhibitors from more than 100 countries will take part in the expo. Among the exhibitors travelling out from Europe will be suppliers from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Ireland, France, Monaco, Germany, Greece, Russia, Spain and Switzerland. Also represented will be Dubai, Jordan and South Africa.
From Australasia exhibitors are expected from Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand and Fiji. But the organisers are also registering strong interest from Latin American countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica and Panama. In the light of the successful IMEX hosted buyer model that has worked so well for the past nine years at IMEX in Frankfurt, more than 2,000 visitors are being flown into Las Vegas courtesy of the IMEX America organisers, with 80 percent sourced from North America and the remaining 20 percent from the rest of the world.
Additionally, Bloom is reckoning on several thousand professional attendees from the national US market. As strategic partners and the major suppliers of educational facilities at IMEX America, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) will be fielding a significant number of speakers and seminars. In addition to the various MPI events, no fewer than another 14 accompanying fixtures are already confirmed. A full overview of the various educational offers, networking opportunities and social functions has already been placed on the IMEX America website at www.imex-america.com/eventsandseminars.html
