Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened the first Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Barcelona, signing a management agreement with Amrey Hotels S.L. for the purpose. This makes the Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Diagonal the brand’s maiden property in Spain.
Situated in the lively 22@Barcelona district, the 154-room hotel is not far from the coast and less than twenty kilometres from the airport. Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Diagonal features all the services and offers typical of the brand. These include specially crafted Four Points by Sheraton Comfort Beds, a Best Brews range of local and international beers and complimentary WiFi in the public areas.
The hotel also boasts a restaurant, café, bar, fitness centre, three conference rooms with a foyer and a business centre. Following comprehensive redevelopment, since 2000 the 22@Barcelona district has become a popular location for designers, media and creative firms. Starwood currently operates 15 hotels in Spain, where is it represented by six of its altogether nine brands: W Hotels, Le Méridien, The Luxury Collection, St. Regis, Le Méridien, Sheraton and now also Four Points by Sheraton. They include the W Barcelona opened in 2009, the unique Luxury Collection properties Marqués de Riscal and the Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville, which is presently undergoing extensive renovation.
