International press free of charge as e-paper on laptop, tablet PC or smartphone

Service upgrade for airberlin frequent flyers

airberlin continues to upgrade its service for participants in its topbonus frequent flyer programme. airberlin passengers who hold a topbonus Silver or Gold Card can now download e-paper versions of international daily newspapers and magazines onto their respective terminal devices in the exclusive waiting lounges atBerlin-TegelAirport.

The offer is free of charge and comprises special interest magazines alongside daily newspapers such as the Financial Times Deutschland and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Guests can choose from among German and English publications.

"We are constantly working on our product improvement. The new service in the exclusive waiting areas atBerlin-TegelAirportis designed to make pre-departure waiting times for our frequent flyers as pleasant and varied as possible," says Thomas Ney, Chief Product Officer airberlin.

The Media Box, a virtual media library, can be accessed via the complimentary wireless network in the exclusive lounges. To realise this new service, airberlin uses the web-based solution from the provider Media Carrier, which displays e-papers on all terminal equipment without any additional installation or registration. Clients with topbonus status can read and save the papers and magazines of their choice quickly, conveniently and free of charge on any laptop, iPad, iPhone or other smartphone.
