More legroom on European flights

On December 1, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines also introduced its comfortable Economy Comfort zone on European flights operated with Boeing B737s. InGermanythis type of aircraft is used on the connections fromBerlinandHamburgto Amsterdam-Schiphol.

In comparison to Economy Class, Economy Comfort in the front section of Economy Class gives passengers up to ten centimetres more legroom and allows them up to double the backrest recline. And they can also deplane faster. Service in Economy Comfort is equivalent to that in Economy Class.

The extra price for an Economy Comfort seat is EUR 20 to 30 on European flights (or 5,000 to 7,500 Flying Blue miles). Flying Blue Platinum members and travellers on a fully flexible Economy ticket are not charged extra. Flying Blue Gold members receive a 50-percent reduction and Flying Blue Silver members 25 percent. Passengers can now reserve their seat through a travel agent (Amadeus) or by clicking “My Trip” at www.klm.de.
