Koelnmesse puts its faith in Patrick Wölke

Patrick Wölke (46) will enter the newly created position of Vice President Digital at Koelnmesse on February 1, 2021. He has extensive expertise in sales and marketing in purely digital companies, but also brings in know-how about the digital transformation of existing business and development of new, digital business models in the media business. Most recently, he helped to establish the marketing technology division of the Cologne-based media and technology company DuMont and before that drove the digital transformation of the traditional media business as managing director. He is now looking to apply this experience to the structures of the exhibition company and the challenges of live communication.

Wölke will be part of the extended board of the exhibition company and report to CEO Gerald Böse. In past years, Christian Glasmacher has advanced the digital transformation of Koelnmesse in a dual role as both a board member and director of the corporate development division.
