The European Exhibition Industry Alliance EEAI (comprising UFI and EMECA) partnered with Deloitte to provide EU funding to offer EIC beneficiaries the opportunity to attend international trade fairs in different sectors. From January 24 to 27, 2022, 18 outstanding companies were selected by the European Innovation Council (EIC) to join the European Pavilion at Arab Health 2022 in Dubai (UAE). The show organised by Informa Markets took place at Dubai World Trade Centre.
„The programme supports commercialisation strategy in foreign markets.“
In the framework of the EIC OTF Programme 2.0, the delegation of SMEs has participated in a one-day online preparatory workshop prior to Arab Health 2022. The briefing serves to inform the selected participants about the market situation, growth potential in the Third country, and business culture.
This initiative is part of the EIC Overseas Trade Fairs 2.0 Programme (OTF) which supports EIC beneficiaries to promote their commercialisation strategy in foreign markets and leverage business opportunities at the most popular trade fairs, strengthening the EU innovation brand around the world. Selected EIC-funded SMEs, startups and scale-ups from EU Member States and associated countries will have access to the programme. The OTF 2.0 Programme is running throughout 2022 and 2023, offering EIC beneficiaries the opportunity to attend 15 international trade fairs in different sectors across four extra-EU markets (China, South-East Asia, the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America).
