VDA to stay in Hanover

The place and date have now been finalised: IAA Commercial Vehicles will take place in Hanover from September 20 to 25, 2022. With the title "Beyond Transport & Logistics", the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) extends its invitation to experience the world of buses, transporters, trucks, trailers and bodies in the exhibition halls and, even more importantly, discuss global developments. Logistics chains are in transformation, and delivery and movement of goods must be harmonised with the urban mobility revolution.

By showing everything from electric to hydrogen powered buses, networked, automated truck fleets for long-haul journeys, driverless people movers or e-cargo bikes, IAA Commercial Vehicles together with its exhibitors and brands wants to present the full cross-section of transport – and debate the future of mobility. Topics include digital supply chains, environmental protection, alternative propulsion, solutions for the last mile or assistance systems for more safety in traffic. Like IAA Mobility, the commercial vehicles sector will also seek an open debate with citizens, NGOs and critical groups in Hanover. In 2020, the pandemic forced the VDA to cancel the commercial vehicles fair. Two years before that, in 2018, more than 2,000 exhibitors presented their innovations in Hanover.

Incidentally: Deutsche Messe and the Association of the Automotive Industry have renewed their contract up to and including 2028. So, Hanover will be hosting four further editions of the IAA Commercial Vehicles.
