jwc has won the Global Idea Competition for a new venue development in China: Beijing Daxing Airport Zone. The Cologne / Germany based consultancy will be partnering on the project with China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holdings Co., Ltd (CMSK) and Overseas Chinese Town Holdings Company (OCT).
Jochen Witt, CEO of jwc, said: “We believe the Daxing venue will be a new engine for the growth of China’s convention and exhibition industry and China’s economy as a whole. jwc has already closely worked with both CMSK and OCT on the development and positioning of Shenzhen World, which has become one of the most important venues worldwide, creating strong additional demand for exhibition and conference space and setting new standards in venue quality. “We are happy to work together with CMSK and OCT again. Together with CMSK, OCT and other supporting team members, we have delivered a creative and feasible proposal for Daxing,” explained Witt.
