Hall 5 will give Frankfurt a new location on its exhibition grounds and add to its event location offering of flexible options for event organisers, exhibitors and visitors. The construction project, which began in December 2019, is now nearing completion.

"The new hall's direct access to the large Harmonie hall in the Congress Center offers event organisers a flexible combination of congress and exhibition venue. This allows us to meet the growing demand for conference facilities combined with event space", explains Michael Biwer, vice president Guest Events of Messe Frankfurt.

The new hall is scheduled to start operation in February 2023. It is connected to the Congress Center on one side and to the adjacent Hall 6 on the other. Level 1 is column-free and can be divided into smaller sections. By providing a connection across the large West Foyer to Hall 6.1, the exhibition space can be expanded as required to incorporate the 26,000 square metres of Hall 6 on three levels. Level 0 of the new location features two large access points to the outside grounds and a café. The hall's loft level 5.1.1. incorporates a spacious, divisible conference room for around 350 participants and a roof terrace. As its ecological contribution to the urban climate, the building will be equipped with a planted green roof.
