Helen Sheppard has been named as RX's first global sustainability director. In this newly created role, she will focus on RX's commitment to the UFI Net Carbon Zero Events pledge. Sheppard joins from RELX and reports to chief operating officer Brian Brittain, in his role as the RX representative on the sustainability board of UFI.
„Helen has been one of our most experienced sustainability leaders. “
Brian Brittain, COO said: "I am delighted to welcome Helen to RX. For the past 10 years, Helen has been one of our most experienced sustainability leaders working at RELX. Her knowledge and experience is exactly the profile that we need within RX to support us on our journey to become a fully sustainable business, one that is future-fit and one that crucially contributes in the fight against climate change."
Helen Sheppard joins RX on an 18-month secondment. She leads RELX's modern slavery statement commitments including living wage assessments and is conducting human rights due diligence for the business. Previously she managed RELX's global community programme. Sheppard has completed a number of ESG (environmental, social, governance) indices on behalf of RELX and has increased transparency in corporate reporting. Externally, Helen represented RELX on the UNGC (United Nations Global Compact) action platform for decent work in global supply chains.
