Cologne-based management consultancy firm JWC has landed the order to develop the master plan for phase II of the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center, which is one day to be the largest exhibition site in the world. The scope of services will cover strategy, positioning, functions, investment and operations for the expansion of the event location.

The Cologne consultants were previously selected to carry out the feasibility study, master plan and pre-opening support of the venue in 2016 and have continued to support the government of Shenzhen, as well as the investors and the operating company SOC for several years.
„We continue to view China as one of the most important trade fair and conference markets.“
Jochen Witt, CEO, JWC
Jochen Witt, CEO of JWC, said: "We are very happy that after so many years of successful work in Shenzhen we have been awarded by the government of Shenzhen to develop the next phase of Shenzhen World. Our gratitude and thanks go to our team in Shenzhen, who did a remarkable job to successfully render consulting services also during the pandemic. We continue to view China as one of the most important trade fair and conference markets globally and will further expand our activities in the areas of strategy and venue consulting."
