Appealing to a sense of responsibility

With a special focus on the topics energy revolution, sustainability and climate neutrality, IAA Transportation in Hanover intends to continue to score as the internationally leading platform for the transportation and logistics industry. The Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has revised core elements of the experience concept.

These include the IAA Plug and Play Campus, where infrastructure topics, such as recharging networks and 5G connectivity, are placed centre stage. VDA managing director Jürgen Mindel says: "The IAA Plug and Play Campus offers exhibitors the unique opportunity to demonstrate their most exciting and innovative use cases from the infrastructure sector, which is steadily growing in importance for mobility, and to do so live and under conditions that are true to reality, the likes of which cannot be found anywhere else at a trade show."

The topic of climate neutrality is no less relevant to the future of the industry. For this reason, the VDA offers exhibitors a trade fair appearance with a climate balance of zero, including certification. They are provided with support from the experts from Myclimate, CO2 offset vendors and climate protection advisors.
„The Campus offers the opportunity to demonstrate use cases.“

Commenting on the partnership with IAA Transportation, the managing director of myclimate Germany, Stefan Baumeister, says: "Large leading international trade fairs such as the IAA Transportation also bear great responsibility. We are all the more pleased as a non-profit organisation and professional climate protection advisor that the trade fair organisers are moving in the direction of carbon neutrality." Participation in the project is voluntary for exhibitors. IAA Transportation will be held in Hanover from September 20 to 25.
